About Kali Rose

Who is Kali Rose?

Born in San Diego, California, Kali is an Illustrator, Concept Artist and Character Designer. At a very early age, she knew what she wanted to pursue her career in which is Character Design and Comic Art. Prior to college, she became a self taught artist by learning from comic books, tv shows, and the internet. A few years after high school, she applied to the Art Institute of Salt Lake City and that is where everything truly began.

During her time at the Art Institute (both Salt Lake City and Hollywood) she was able to mold her craft by the help of professors who have worked for Nickelodeon, Disney, Warner Bros, DC Comics and Marvel Comics. With these professors she studied digital color theory, anatomy, story boarding, character design, digital illustration, 3d modeling and drawing from life. During her final year of college she received her first industry job by working on Menencholy with Willow Smith for Spooky Girl, INC. Her work has also been in student galleries and museums in Hampton, Virginia.

In 2021 Kali decided to shift mediums and became a self-taught Acrylic Canvas Artist. She has been thriving for over four years now throughout Texas showcasing her pieces at Dreamcon, Sneaker Con, Black on the Block, DFW Vintage Swap Meet, Swap Con, Chocolate and Art Show, Art Overdose and Pancakes and Booze. Currently, she continues to thrive in her freelance artwork and building her brand.
